Having announced earlier this year that Chanel’s former creative director and designer, Karl Lagerfeld, had been working on a secret make-up collection with L’Oréal Paris before his death in February, the cosmetics giant has finally revealed the details of what is set to be the most chic make-up range ever.

L’Oréal confirmed that Lagerfeld illustrated the initial ideas and monochrome packaging, as he did with all of his designs, whilst the brand worked with his team to finalise the products posthumously.

➡️ The unexpected collaboration is less surprising than you might think. Lagerfeld infamously drew his signature fashion illustrations using eyeshadow rather than paints or coloured pencils and also launched a capsule make-up collection with Model Co. last year. So far specific products and price points are yet to be revealed, however, it has been confirmed that the range will share Lagerfeld’s pioneering spirit and commitment to celebrating feminine power, with a relentless quest to create the unexpected.

I really think that this is going to be the beauty collaboration of 2019 and I can only imagine how fast it will sell out, launching online on 20th September and globally on the 27th September during Paris Fashion Week nonetheless.

From the wide range of shades to the texture of the products, nothing was left to chance in creating a line that would work for all kinds of women and at different moments of the day, from a subdued, elegant daytime look to more audacious, shimmering hues for nighttime.

The collection is made up of a highly pigmented nine-shade eyeshadow palette, a duo of highlighter for a glowing complexion, an extra black mascara, and a pigmented, ultra-matte eyeliner in black and silvery pink “Metallik.” The “Rouge à Lèvres Color Riche Satin” lipstick features a nourishing, healing formula and is available in six shades with names invoking Karl himself: Kultured, Ironik, Provokative, Karismatic, Kontrasted.

As I said above, if you want this collection be prepared to hit add to basket because it’s going to sell out fast, I asked an old coworker at L’Oréal if they would be sending this out in PR and he wasn’t even sure.

Hi guys and girls, what’s going on! Remember before I was talking about not being able to get to all of my PR boxes due to moving and all the other exciting thing, well I opened the new collaboration between Gigi Hadid and Maybelline New York so I thought mind as well go with it, this collection is not out to the public and was to be open by a certain date (two (2) weeks ago) I also have some pretty crazy but sad new coming up in a week or so, so you can expect a stand alone post regarding that! my website is also pretty much done now we are just working on headers and downloading content and selling spaces to advertisers so that they can be active ads constant and changeable by the company like you see with the too faced ‘product of the month’ also I don’t know if anyone has realised but its new products sold a week earlier which is pretty cool!

It’s finally here: a flat lay of the open Jetsetter makeup palette that Gigi Hadid has created for her Maybelline collaboration. The California-born model loves a natural look, so it’s no surprise that everything in this all-in-one palette is very wearable. According to the IG post, the palette is packed with eyeshadow, concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, mascara, lip balm, and brushes – and it’s still under $45

SIDE NOTE ➡️ this collection isn’t available in Canada as of now and I’m not going to add the date its to drop because, its said to be dropping early as it did most places.

The only downside? It appears that the palette comes with two concealer shades that will only work on light to medium skin tones, leaving a large portion of individuals with shades they simply can’t use. No official word yet on shades, or any other details about the palette.

This is a limited edition collection of course, with beautiful shades, typical name and luxury packaging for the Maybelline brand and According to the model, the collection is ‘for the people who are maybe intimidated to do full glam every day.’ And while the collection is divided into East Coast and West Coast capsules – Gigi encourages shoppers to mix and match everything the way she herself does.

The fiber mascara is one of the most have product I think and let me just say, if this works wonders on my arm hairs I can only imagine what it would do to the actual eyelashes – Apparently, this double-sided product was previously only available in Japan, and it’s pretty darn fun to use. First, you apply a coat of mascara as usual, then you brush on the tiny white fibers encased in the opposite end of the tube, which build up your natural lashes before you seal them in with another coat of the mascara. I can see why this collection is so sought after plus the PR package was absolutely beautiful in its own rights.

Gigi insisted that she relies on this stuff in lieu of individual false lashes. I don’t entirely believe this, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a very good, non-clumpy mascara.

I wonder if the hype behind this is as it should because from what I have in front of me isn’t anything to go crazy over at all, its kinda, well not very pigmented and very powdery with a lot of fall out sadly, the lipsticks are typical Maybelline formulation and the mini brushes are already in the garbage. I cant wait to see what you guys have to say or think, is it mostly about a name? or other then the already boosted about mascara from me, am I being to harsh to expect more from the drugstore brand!
