I was nothing but honoured to be invited to the Canadian launch of HAUS LABORATORIES by Lady Gaga press dinner in Vancouver which I told myself I would be at no matter what, I am so happy that i went and if it goes like that for all press dinners maybe I would find myself attending more, moving on, Lady Gaga’s beauty line went on pre-sale July 15th and will be on sale in September 17 – FLARE Magazine and I questioned will it even be sold in Canada, since this was a press dinner in Canada that should answer the question. (yes)

Lady Gaga is finally putting her take on beauty in our hands, all our hands, because it will be available not only on hauslabs.com but on Amazon: “Just like with my music, I wanted everyone to have access to it.”

I did have one of the best times at this dinner, It’s one of those times where you’re having so much fun that you forget just what you’re there for, and you tune in to the information you should be listening to, crap! Gaga is into the makeup part of the equation for sure. She reviewed formulas, named products, picked components and brought in her friend and makeup artist Sarah Tanno as global artistry director for the brand, which everyone who knows Gaga’s makeup day to day would not be shocked by this at all.

On the print out and video clogged iPad in front of us ➡️ While it’s uncommon for new beauty brands to be unveiled in July, Le Bourgeois said it is common for new concepts to launch on Prime Day. Amazon has executed successful Prime Day launches in categories like books and video games before, he said. Plus, for something like Haus Laboratories, it allows time to make more products if preorders exceed expectations.

Update ➡️ Amazon Prime Day is here, and that means Haus Laboratories has officially arrived. It includes nine different duos (either two lip liners, two glosses, or two Glam Attack shimmer powders, in a range of shades), and also six different three-piece sets. Each three-piece set — or “haus” — includes an RIP Lip Liner, a Le Riot Gloss, and a Glam Attack.

Lady Gaga sees your face-tuned beauty ideals, and she wants to smash them. Lately I’ve been feeling the same way also the promise of something better can only get you  so far, I’ve always said that makeup isn’t there to fix or change anything but to enhance the beauty you already have but its true, even I sometimes follow suite and won’t leave the house without insuring all redness is gone. 

I am excited to see all the PR Packages be sent out and all the youtubers and bloggers to start really ripping the brand apart as they do! it happens with each and every brand – there was address fill out form but I’m really not 100% that Gaga will even bother sending out because of the pre-sale.

OUR HAUS, YOUR RULES – who didn’t see this coming from the launch Fame by Lady Gaga because I am not at all, in fact; took you long enough Gaga, I wish she started with concealers and such but that would not be on brand with her so i get that!! I just open the Canadian PR which is highly different then the USA PR pretty much the same but with a little Canadian twist. This isn’t the first time Gaga has taken the game and shook it up and down and make people think and I can say, it’s almost like Marc Jacobs beauty and Lady Gaga had a baby.

Currently I am not yet allowed to write about the brand as we signed a PDA and I’m not going down that rabbit hole again, ever again! but I urge you to check back next week just to experience the PR kit and the beauty Lady Gaga herself put into it!

When I was young, I never felt beautiful. And as I struggled to find a sense of both inner and outer beauty, I discovered the power of makeup. I remember watching my mother put her makeup on every morning, basking in the glow of her power to put on her bravest face as the hard working woman she was. I then began to experiment with makeup as a way to make my dreams of being as strong as my mother become true. It was then that I invented Lady Gaga. I found the superhero within me by looking in the mirror and seeing who I wanted to be. Sometimes beauty doesn’t come naturally from within. But I’m so grateful that makeup inspired a bravery in me I didn’t know I had. I’ve come to accept that I discovered my beauty by having the ability to invent myself and transform. SUMMER HAZE | WHY IS DEODORANT SO IMPORTANT..? | M X T C

I’m going to touch base on something you would learn in elementary school and if you really said no to dad when he asked ‘did you put on your deodorant today?’ when we both know…he didn’t then comes home because the kids thought it fun to poke at the easy target! no, no no this is not what happen to me, Hygiene was (is) always important to me! with sumner just around the corner I decided to partner with Vaseline Men to help you understand the different types of deodorant on the market and why it might be right or very wrong for your skin! I want to start off with something simple the different types of deodorant(s) and basically what it is they do for your body other then have boys or girls bring milkshakes to your yard, still don’t get it? yeah, I’m right there with you guys! A deodorant is a substance applied to the body to prevent or mask (hide) body odor due to bacterial breakdown of perspiration in the armpits groin, and feet.

A subclass of deodorants, called antiperspirants, prevents sweating itself, typically by blocking sweat glands. Antiperspirants are used on a wider range of body parts, at any place where sweat would be inconvenient or problematic for safety or convenience reasons, since unwanted sweating can interfere with vision, comfort, safety, or slipperiness/grip. I also know that it’s a lot to take in, you think that as you hit puberty all you need is to throw on a deodorant but by the time launch rolls around and it’s time for gym you don’t always feel so great about yourself, so as parents it would be a good thing to insure you watch your children or have them watch you apply your deodorant or antiperspirants.

The human body produces perspiration (sweat) via two types of sweat gland: eccrine sweat glands which cover much of the skin and produce watery odourless sweat, and apocrine sweat glands in the armpits and groin, which produce a more oily “heavy” sweat containing a proportion of waste proteins, fatty acids and carbohydrates, that can be metabolized by bacteria to produce compounds that cause body smells. 

Trust me, I sweat a lot! comes it calms down I’m typically good but I i just happen to leave the house one day and I was with my friend, B, so B and I went past a store and stopped to grab some gum and stuff and on the way out B said hey what about deodorant  and I’m so happy he reminded me because I just happen to grab Vaseline Men Active dry 48h PRODERMA 0% alcohol antiperspirant and I always would just grab a deodorant never thinking that I needed something more, it’s actually funny for two reason one i’ll never be able to replace this since they stopped making it, sadly and also i feel the same way about B, like I just said, I would just grab a deodorant not taking the time to realize that i didn’t want or need a deodorant, and the saddest part is I guess B and Vaseline Men are both discontinued to me.

I wish I could say I was gone due to the fact that I was on vacation while, I could lie to you all, it would not feel right and I owe one more to who I was with to see where we stand otherwise you will read one way or another in a coming feature of ‘LIFE 101’ which I know is more or less popular. I’m unsure how much I want to tell from my point of view or the view point of how I am viewed, if that makes sense. Anyway, as I know you will know, this will be done very differently starting with my acceptance of any and all media relation work and brand trips, and so much more! Secondly I’m going to make sure I am a lot more open about where I will be, I love you all so much and none of us has ever pretended not to know the pain, born out of hate, I seems I created something of a safe place for myself and for you! With June around the corner and my place at Art Basel pressing, I thought I could talk more about travel knock outs!

Wouldn’t it be so easy if all our makeup products that we needed were in a one stop case? Ellis Faas had that vision in mind with her makeup and holder. The holder is an ingenious design where you could mix and match your favorite colors or whatever your mood wants. From holding foundation pen to powder compact, blush, eyeshadow, concealer, lipstick and even more. It brings a small view of the future of makeup, 


It’s very handy. You can put all your favourite Ellis Faas pistols make up in a silver holder with mirror and a matting powder. Bye make up bags! The visuals that show the massive line up of pistols to that can be bought separately are just beautiful and very smart from a brands stand point. Along with being sent the main component which is the face pistol which comes with two holders, from the success of the launch of the product they launches the veils in full sized SKU’s so I was kindly sent one of those as well. 

SIDE NOTE ➡️ Sadly my powder came shattered via transit so i cannot comment on the value of the product mentioned but I am able to say it’s very pleasing on the eyes, and many wouldn’t even think to utilize the space

Ellis Faas’ products are made with the most intricate design. Her whole line of makeup all the way to the holder seem to be very organized. Having the ability to put everything you need in a holder that is not only sleek, it is also for easy on the go access as well. Not to say it makes a perfect center piece for any vanity table. Ellis Faas’ holder and makeup are perfect gifts for your loved ones and yourself. It’s a whole set that looks very luxurious and fancy. One of the more enjoyable things, as you twist from the bottom what you desire pops up using a little spring device within, just the final thought to bring such a neat idea to life.

Thanks to my beautiful friend who allowed me to test the mascara, liquid eyeliner and such I can safely say that these are effortless which if you’re in a rush to go to work or just don’t want much with you on travels – you will have good quality that lasts, mascara was applied at 9:00am and wasn’t taken off until almost 1:00am and there was no flaking or smudge. I can’t say that I’m shocked!

I don’t know why but I seem always over look Charlotte Tilbury! i remember going to a press event for he line coming into Holt Renfrew in Toronto on Bloor St. I wasn’t really liking the feel mind you Faulhaber Communications who was organizing this whole event and you can quote me on this, I truly think there is no better PR Agency in Canada then Faulhaber – they just do things one step on the game! But anyways a PR agency is not why we are here Charlotte Tilbury is, I just have to say how on the website its all ” hello darling “ it truly is iconically Charlotte, after meeting her now when I read the names or read a paragraph,  I can literally her her saying it, it’s wonderful! 

If you were to buy one thing for Charlotte Tilbury it should be the Magic Away Concealer and heres why honestly the Magic Concealer is like spanx for your eyes as much as that sounds, its completely true! it spreads itself out so thin but there is so much pigment and added benefits to it –  is an incredible full coverage liquid concealer in a netural shade for all skin tones and undertones. For five years, Charlotte Tilbury has been working on this holy grail of concealers that reduces the appearance of dark circles, blemishes and imperfections, for fresher-looking second skin instantly!

SIDE NOTE ➡️ If you think that this concealer was not 5 years in the making you are wrong! we would get yearly updated from who handle CT PR either the USA or Canada firm.

Next would be Charlotte’s Unisex Healthy Glow which is a hydrating tint – it’s not as full if  a hydrant as a tinted moisturizer, I would recommend putting a little of a stronger hydrator around your nose, chin, between the brows and centre of the forehead to give it that BAM This fabulous unisex cream is SO natural, no one will suspect you’re wearing it! and its so true so who else to try it on but my boyfriend who actually still wears it to date within his skin care regime, it really does just even out the skin with just enough coverage with a hit of bronze that you wouldn’t really expect. It kinda reminds of the Recipe For Men Bronze cream which does the similar thing ➡️ if not the exact same only its made to work more with mens skin and testosterone and such – which when you’re a man it’s nice to have those options without calling it ‘makeup’ and when I say if you’re a man I mean it as a guy who doesn’t wear makeup or know the world of makeup; plain and simple!

➡️ Next on my would be the Goddess Ritual Cleanser Duo from Charlotte Tilbury it’s absolutely one of my must have for cleaners ➡️ I always say that cleansers are a grey area, many disagree with me but it’s true, I don’t think there is enough time used to be able to make a difference within the skin, I’m not saying that they don’t do anything because they do, but what follows after cleansing your skin us where you will see the most benefits until trying this ➡️ Deeply purifying, super-charged cleansing duo for fresh, radiant-looking skin just make sure if you have blemish prone skin watch out for large doses of vitamin c sometimes with some skin it can have a negative effect! Sadly I know this all to well!

Hey there boys and girls, how goes it? clocks have went forwards so we are that much closes to summer for all of you who enjoy summer but before we get to summer we first have too go through spring! I don’t mind spring so much, but I am not a summer person which, but, I have a July birthday so I’m told that should make me enjoy summer, not 100% sure where these people are doing their research but I will go with it. There are so many products that I could recommend for spring 2019! In this post you will see such brands as ➡️ Recipe for men, La Prairie, BeautyBlender, The Body Shop, Too Faced,  SMASHBOX, so many brands are killing it and it’s wonderful to see.

Recipe for men has an amazing moisturizer with the a hint of bronze that is enough to make a difference but not a crazy self tanner or something that looks fake, the brand actually just sent me almost their full product line up, super nice of them so I will be touching base on the brand in the future!

➡️ It is a hint of color for fresh and healthy looking skin. This lightweight bronze cream evens skin tone while imparting a natural glow with just enough coverage to enhance your complexion, of course you’d want to bring it down the neck a bit but this is a cream not a makeup. It does have extract of African pepper energizes overtired skin exposed to shaving, pollution and stress. Hydrogenated jojoba and provitamin B5 provide anti-irritating and moisturizing action, this is not going to tan your skin, but it will make for a instant glow effect.

Too Faced actually was one of the first brands to believe in MXTC and offered me a paid 5 year advertisement placement (with scheduled changes) also it was one of my first PR lists I was ever added to with the ad placement but I don’t really talk about the brand that much because I don’t want people to think that I am pushing the brand but I have come to realize that, they will still pay me every 3 months for a years worth of ad space regardless, so something for spring to really get your hands on would be the Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer which really, if you have a couple of shades it really could be all you’d need for your base as you prepare for spring and summer skin.

The formula is oil-free, non-comedogenic formula ➡️ can be used to conceal, contour, highlight, and retouch ➡️ weightless and hydrating so skin is never dry or cakey ➡️ long wearing for 12 hours ➡️ photo-friendly, no flashback ➡️vegan and curtly-free! I don’t think that we could really ask for anything better, it also comes in a shade for all skin and under tones!

In the past I have talked about The Body Shop ➡️ COLD WEATHER FAVOURITES | MAKEUPANDTHECITY which is funny because the product I was speaking about and how I got interested in the brand was from RIO RELATIONS in NYC and I’m talking about going from cold to spring because it’s The Body Shop Vitamin C glowing skin line, this time what I am talking about is their cleanser with mild exfoliation daily cleanser, right from the get go, your skin is radiant, glowing and looks more healthy. The antioxidant properties of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C a vital molecule for skin health so there would be a reason why a lot of brands make millions off that simple vitamin that your were told to take as a child (and you should still take a daily vitamin) give this cleanser a try and you won’t be sorry.

SIDE NOTE ➡️ The Body Shop cleanser also works well with cleansing tools and Clarisonic alike!

Next I would have to say for perfect skin that will bring you back to winter is White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire from the house of La Prairie – I really just use this cream as a finishing cream or in areas where I know I feel a little bit more dry, I know, I know it’s $1000.00 and you feel I’m abusing how you use it! but the effects and the smell of this skin care line alone is amazing, It’s a lavish cream infused with Lumidose, the extraordinary molecule of light. It helps skin reach new levels of luminosity and evenness ➡️ measurable in two weeks, visible in four, extraordinary in eight. I do have wonderful news! La Prairie has launched travel size skin care of their coveted creams and potions and the PR box was so cute, I literally thought that they were sending new concept jars of what new packaging would look like till I read the card – prices were not released but I assume they will launch with my previous mention ➡️ LA PRAIRIE | NEW PRODUCTS | BRAND TRIP(S) and more | M X T C either way, when I know you better believe you, will know!

Now I know BeautyBlender Bounce was a terrible launch! but at least they addressed the issue and fixed it! A lot of brands would just ignore it till they think its out of our minds but they did a press release, and a consumer apology and made it better for all skin tones. There is no denying that the Bounce foundation with the new BeautyBlender is some beautiful witch craft, you really see how you get to control coverage with this product, you can take it there or keep it bare! it can even be used as a targeted area, like on the chin, around the nose, a little on the forehead and go! it a lot of cases you don’t really need powder because it dries so matte!

I’m going to make this two parts because if you remember my Chromebook challenge its almost up so I will have my final thoughts and talk to you a little bit about how it went and if I’m going to give up my MacBook for it.

I just love my little drive to get my espresso and my coffee downtown, typically I go for a run but with the snow I go every other day; I always have such a love hate relationship with the weekend, don’t get me wrong I enjoy not putting so much time into work and having some time to write which sometimes I will write a couple of things and send them in a draft to the brand, or company or whatever, saying this has already been set and timed to a day, these are my thoughts – if its a sponsored post or whatever it is, I don’t allow them to change my words as once it is locked in to go, it can’t be changed which I love a lot about working with TrustPilot and I thank them allowing me to handle my own PR for my own space and be my own management, back to what I’m here to talk about! Today I want to talk about a few makeup bags that are for more personal use or for a small set call, you can also keep them within your luggage or weekend bag as a little add on and they are absouloutly stunning especially if you like classic, clear, halo type, toss and go, or organize to the gods.

Some are a little more exspensive and some are a little cheaper but none are a lacking quality and protection of whatever is inside! That’s a promise!

Firstly, we have Artis and you know I don’t mess around with price tags if the quality is there, yes, oh yes, my PR list grows and grows but it is in no way like oh hi, yes, I ran out of my liquid diamond gel can you sent me another one! thanks sooooooooooooo much. Yeah no it just doesn’t work like that, PR is for influencers to one – try the product or whatever first, two – for consideration to write about or blog about it and get it across to your subscribers, three – repurchase. Yes they are good with sending a package on or around your birthday of some items they know and are aware that  you like, which is super sweet and they do not have to do that!


But back to Artis and their makeup holders, they change by season and by holidays, for example for Valentine’s day they became red which I really applicate having different colors, especially for travel, and on the note of travel they also come in small, medium and large – all of the bags from Artis has a place for your needed brushes to remain safe and on the other side a mesh bag (see photos below) the newer bags are very beautiful they are fully black with a thin layer of plastic around the zipper, with ARTIS over pattern, one of my personal favourites.

The next makeup bag is Ariana Grande approved, its from the brand TheMakeupDrop, and the reason I say its Ariana Grande approved is for good reason for her new tour all of the bags you bring in have to be clear so that security can see what you have inside, we all remember what happen at the singers concert in Manchester, sadly and truthful absouloutly devastating and wrong, anyways to take a look at Ariana Grande$8.00 tour bags check it out here on iheartradio that’s getting a bit off topic but it falls under the realm of something that is important to shine light on, for me anyway, one of the best parts of this bag also if it’s only $15.00 which is a great price for everyone!
